Happy Power Poppy Friday~December 7th!
Hello there and a very happy Friday to you! I sure hope this post finds you doing well. I have a super quick post to share with you today for Power Poppy's Friday inspiration using one of the newest stamp sets, Snuggle Down.
I just love the darling images in this stamp set and I have been itching to get this sweet little scene inky! Those little thermoses captured my heart right away.
I started by stamping my image with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink onto white card stock, die cut it, and then colored it in with Copics. After stamping my sentiment from the same set, I added some ink spatters with a spritzing tool and some Stampin' Up! markers then added some shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen. Lastly, I adhered my image onto a layered card base with some foam tape.
And now I want to start my very own vintage thermos collection! :) I just love all of the little details in this darling scene. Marcella really outdid herself, yet again!
So that is all for my card today, but some of my Bloomie sisters have some beautiful cards for your inspiration so please make sure you check them out and leave a little blog love while you are there. Also, make sure you check out the latest goings on over at the Power Poppy blog....lots of crafty goodness to see! I thank you so much for your visit today and I hope you will come back again soon. Until then....take care. :)

Happy Power Poppy Friday~November 16th!
Hello there and a very happy Friday to you! I hope this post finds you doing well! Today I have a quick card to share with you for Power Poppy's Friday post. I chose to use the new stamp set Grandma's Snowflakes!
I started my card by trimming a piece of rustic white card stock to 3 5/8" x 5". Next I stamped various snowflakes from the set using Going Gray ink from Stampin' Up! Some were first generation stamping and some were second generation stamping to allow for some depth. For the large snowflake that is behind my sentiment....I inked it up and used a sponge to take some ink off of the stamp before stamping it on my cardstock. I wanted a slight fade where the sentiment would be so the sentiment would be really clear. After inking up my sentiment with Memento's Rhubarb Stalk ink, I dabbed some Scarlet Jewel ink from Papertrey Ink on part of the sentiment then stamped it. I really like how it turned out...kind of like it "glitters and glows"! :)
Next came the strips of patterned papers (I used pinking shears to give a decorative edge for one of the papers) and some stitching. After adding some distress ink around the edges, I added some shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen then tied on my ribbon and added a little charm. All that was left was to adhere my panel to a card base. The finished card measures 3 5/8" x 5".
My goodness, how precious are these little crocheted snowflakes?! I love the memories these sweet images evoke....I'll bet many of you either had or still have some of these precious hand made jewels in your Christmas treasure trove. :) Did you happen to notice that there is not a speck of coloring on this card? I think it's a Christmas miracle! This would be an excellent set for some quick, assembly line style, last minute, gotta get them in the mail now cards!
So that is all for my card today, but please make sure you check out the cards lovingly created by some of my Bloomie sisters for your inspiration and please leave a little blog love when you visit. :) Also make sure you check out the Power Poppy blog for all of the latest goings on at Bloom Central. I thank you so very much for your visit today and I hope you have a great weekend! I also hope you will stop by again soon....until then, take care!

Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 Stamp Release~Day 5!
Hello there and welcome back for Day 5 of Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 stamp release. Yay!

Today is the day that you not only get to see the final stamp set to be debuted, but it is also the day that all of the stamp sets are available in the Power Poppy store! More about that at the end of this post, but for now let's talk about this glorious new set, Amaryllis Bliss...
Isn't she a beaut? Can you just imagine how many different ways you could color this gorgeous image? After much deliberation and browsing different varieties on the internet, I finally decided to go with the classic all red amaryllis.
I stamped my image with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and colored my image with Copics then went back with a white Polychromos pencil to add some highlights. After die cutting my image panel, I added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear brush pen, stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set, sponged and spritzed some inks around, and added some gold leafing around the edges with a Krylon 18 KT Gold Leafing pen. I kept the card layers minimal and added a little stitching to my patterned papers before adhering them to my card base. My image panel is adhered with foam tape. This card measures 3 7/8" x 5 3/8" .
Aren't Marcella's amaryllis blooms incredible? They are a really nice size so you can get in there and shade to your heart's content...:) The sentiments in this set are absolutely beautiful and I know I will be using those a lot!
So that is all for my card but my Bloomie sisters have some amazing cards to share with you so please make sure you check them out and leave a little blog love while you are there. AND....take a lookie at this little promotion...
I thank you again for you visits this week and your very kind comments....I can't tell you how much I appreciated each one! I hope you can stop by again soon, and until then....take care. :)

Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 Stamp Release~Day 3!
Hello there and Happy Friday to you! I am so glad you could stop by for Day 3 of Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 stamp release!
Today there are actually two stamp sets being introduced....Through the Woods and Snuggle Down! Don't you just love the names of these sets? Well, wait til you see these sets....in fact, here are the peeks for both of them....
For my card I chose to use one of the darling images from the Snuggle Down stamp set. I started by stamping my image with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink onto some cream card stock. After die cutting my image, I colored it up with Copics. I even filled in the bottom portion of the image panel with Copic ink then stamped my sentiment in the shaded area. Next I added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear brush pen and then I pulled out my trusty Krylon gold leafing pen to pretty up the edges. :) The rest of the card is some simple patterned paper layering with some stitching. This card measures 3 3/8" x 4 7/8" .
I marvel at Marcella's creativity...how on earth does she come up with these ideas? I just love all of the little details in this image and it is so much fun to color up! Jingle and Mingle.....how adorable is that?

Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 Stamp Release~Day 2!
Hello there and welcome back for Day 2 of Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 stamp release! Today's set features some beautiful images that can be used for two step stamping, border stamping, or a single image stamp....you choose! :) So say hello to Let Your Heart Be Light....
Soooo, I decided to get outside my Copic comfort zone and try out my woefully neglected Polychromos colored pencils for this image. I chose to stamp a single image and one of the darling sentiments from this set.....oh my word, that font! :) I stamped my image with Memento's Rich Cocoa ink and proceeded to experiment with my pencils. I will list the colors I used below. It took a while but mostly because I was trying to familiarize myself with the colors I have. It is definitely a lot different from my Copics, but not quite as scary as I worried it might be...overall, I really like the pencils but I do think I need more practice to feel comfortable using them. My card is just a few simple layers because I wanted this glorious image to be front and center! This card measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".
Isn't this the dreamiest little poinsettia and holly image? Marcella always knows just how to make our little crafty coloring hearts go pitter patter, doesn't she? As always, her details are amazing and this is a really fun color up!
So that is all for my card today, but my Bloomie sisters have some amazing cards to tempt and inspire you so make sure you check them out and leave a little blog love while you are there. Also make sure to check out the Power Poppy blog for Marcella's post on this lovely new stamp set. I thank you so much for stopping by today, and hope to see you back tomorrow for Day 3 of Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 stamp release. Until then, take care!

Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday 2018 Stamp Release~Day 1!
Hello there and welcome to Day 1 of Power Poppy's incredible Happiest Holiday 2018 stamp release! Marcella has created quite a collection of holiday stamps for your crafting pleasure and we can't wait for you to see them all....so for the next 5 days Power Poppy will be previewing six stamp sets! So why don't we get started with today's darling set, Christmas Corgis!
Now, how cute are these sweeties? Those are some serious love eyes going on, right? ;) Marcella's inspiration for this set was her own precious Corgi, Tibbs! So for my card, I chose to highlight the image in a circle die cut. After coloring it up with Copics, I added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear brush pen and some shine to the berries with a clear glaze pen. I used a scallop oval die cut for my card base and just added a few layers with some patterned papers for interest. The sweet little sentiment is from the same stamp set. I'll bet you will see some of the other images and sentiments along the hop today.
And here's one last little lookie at this darling pair. So that is all for my card today, but my Bloomie sisters are definitely bringin' it so make sure you check out all of their lovely creations and leave a little blog love while you are there. Also, make sure you check out the Power Poppy blog for Marcella's post on Christmas Corgis. Happy Power Poppy Friday~October 19th!
Hello there friends! I hope this post finds you well. I have a quick little card to share for this week's Power Poppy Friday. It has been a while since I have played along and boy was I itching to get back at it! We are finally getting some cooler temperatures in our area....70's, but hey, we'll take it and with that I decided to jump way past Halloween and Fall themed cards and go straight to Christmas... :) Is it ever too early for a Christmas card? I don't think so either....sooo, here is a little Friday inspiration Christmas cheer for you!
I started with my image and sentiment from Power Poppy's Cozy Cupfuls stamp set....after stamping it with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink, I colored it up with Copics and die cut it out. Next, I stitched my patterned paper and stamped my sentiment. After giving my image some sparkle with my Wink of Stella clear brush pen, I tied on a little twine and then layered my image panel onto my assembled card base. This card measures a petite 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".
Don't you just love Marcella's little vignette? Those packages are the cutest things ever and the mixed font sentiment fits this image perfectly! As always, her image was so much fun to color up....can't you just see this as a tag colored to match a present perfectly? Hmmmm, note to self..... :)
So that is all for my card today, but some of my Bloomie sisters have some amazing creations to inspire you this fine day and please make sure you leave them a little blog love when you visit. I am so happy you stopped by for a visit, and I hope you will come by again real soon....until then, take care! :)

Wishing you a Merry Christmas with a Power Poppy favorite!
Hello there and happy Friday to you! Can you believe that we are just a few short days away from Christmas??!! Where did this year go? Do you feel like we must've missed a couple of months along the way too? How in the world are we already so close to the end of another year? To wrap up the crafty year at Power Poppy, our darling Julie Koerber thought it would be fun to highlight a favorite past Christmas project. I can think of oodles of Christmas favorites that I have seen my incredible Bloomie sisters create....I mean, seriously....these ladies constantly amaze and inspire me! Not to mention our dear Bloom Whisperer herself, Marcella, from whom all swoon-worthy, amazingly detailed, and gorgeous botanical images flow. Where it becomes a little more difficult for me is when it comes to picking out a favorite project of my own! Hmmmm, do you find that you too are way more critical of your own work? What is up with that?
So, for my favorite, I actually decided to choose a card that I really stepped out of my comfort zone on in terms of color choices. What made me think of a black background for a Christmas card, I really can't say. I can tell you that while I was coloring this card up, I must've asked myself a dozen times if I had lost my mind....I can also say that a couple of times when said background was looking quite scary, I came very close to filing it in the circular file....you know the file, right? ;) In the end, I am glad that I saw it through. I will definitely try a dark, dramatic background again....and maybe next time, it wont be quite so scary. :) In any event, the true star here is Marcella's incredibly gorgeous and truly dreamy image from her Winter Wonderland stamp set. An inspiration from her own wedding bouquet, this Christmas bouquet is definitely a show stopper! If you don't have this set yet, you really should add it to your "short" list! :) You can find all of the card details from this earlier post here.
Here is one last little lookie and this glorious image that Marcella has created just for us....
I am so happy you stopped by here today for a visit. Please know that I am wishing you the Merriest Christmas ever. I hope that you have an abundance of time spent with family and friends and also time to just relax and enjoy the true reason for this season. Your visits here, as well as your encouraging comments and emails have meant more to me than you can imagine. I am certainly feeling blessed for all of your kindnesses. Enjoy this beautiful holiday and I look forward to your next visit soon....until then, take care. :)

Happy Power Poppy Friday~December 15th
Hello there and a very happy Friday to you! I hope you have been doing well. It has been hectic around here with all of the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the holidays...but I am betting it is that way for you too, right? :) Well in the midst of our craziness around here, I got to spend a little time in my craft room getting this card ready for today's post. It features an image from one of Power Poppy's newest holiday stamps, Under Glass: Christmas Traditions and a sentiment with a few snowflake images from one of last season's holiday sets, Action Santa. Marcella's darling Santa feeding a reindeer image stole my heart at first sight!
Now I ask you, is that not the most precious little Santa? AND the reindeer too! I started by stamping my image and sentiment on a trimmed card stock panel. Next, I colored my image up with Copics, then stamped some snowflakes around, and finally added some distress ink to the edges and shimmer with my Wink of Stella clear brush pen. I couldn't resist the urge to spritz a few inks around with a spritzing tool and round the bottom corners to add a little more interest.
After all of the coloring details were done, I stitched some patterned papers that I trimmed and pinked with shears to the top and added a bright red ribbon and a bit of string with buttons knotted on the tails. Not a single die was used for this card! :) Lastly, I adhered the finished panel to a card base. This card measures 3 3/8" x 4 7/8".
He's feeding the reindeer apples! How precious is that?! I really am constantly amazed at what Marcella creates....where on earth does she come up with all of these sweet details? I sure am glad she does though! :)
So that is all for my card today but some of my Bloomie sisters have whipped up a few little show stoppers for you to see....so make sure you check out all of their crafty goodness and leave a little blog love while you are there. Oh, and hey...if you didn't catch all of the Twelve Days of Christmas festivities on the Power Popy blog, you really should do that! It is chock full of incredible Christmas crafty inspiration over twelve days and you can play along! Did I mention there is a prize? :) Make sure you check out all of the details here. Marcella has created a spot on the blog where you can see all twelve projects here. I am so happy that you could stop by today and I hope that I'll be seeing you around here again real soon....until then, take care! :)
