Hi there and a happy Friday to you! I hope all is well with you. Things have been a little quiet on the blog front lately....I have been getting caught up on some way overdue projects around the house (does one ever truly get caught up with that?!) but I'm so happy to be back today to play along in Power Poppy's July Power & Spark Challenge. This month's hostess is the incredibly talented and super sweet Leslie and she is calling out all of us paper hoarders collectors. :) You can check out all of the details here.
That's right.....it's time to break out those pretty papers and get to creatin'! But before you tear into those stacks of paper pads, lemme show you what I did for this challenge, k?
I hadn't had a chance to color up those adorable flip flops in the Best Day Ever set yet, so I thought that would be a fun image to use for this card. I paired it with some sweet beach-y colored papers and kept the card super simple. I started by stamping my image with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink onto some cream card stock, colored it with Copics, then fussy cut it out. Next, I die cut my main panel and stitched the first of my three patterned papers on it. I stamped the sentiment then adhered my colored image and a threaded button to my die cut panel. My card base is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" cream cart stock. I layered two more patterned papers, rounded the top corners of my card base and the patterned papers layer, did some more stitching, and adhered everything together.
I used my Atyou Spica Clear glitter pen and my Stampin' Up! Stampin' Chalk white marker to add a little shimmer and highlights to my blooms.
Aren't those the most darling little flip flops?! AND, that sentiment is adorable too! Now, are you ready to get going on your own designer paper triple play creation? Well, before you do...make sure you check out the lovlies that some of my Bloomie sisters have created for your inspiration. Leave them a little blog love while you're there and then start tearing into your stash of designer papers! :) Make sure you link up your finished project on the Power Poppy blog for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Yay! Thanks so much for stopping by today and until next time.....take care! :)
