Power Poppy's August Release-Day 1

A very happy hello to you!  I hope you have been doing well since our last get together.  Have you been working on any new and exciting crafty projects?  I have been working on a few... ;)  I am about to bust to share with you Power Poppy's August Release Day 1 set, Happy Crabapple!  Don't you just love that name.  Today's set is the first of three sets being released this month as the Color Me Grateful Collection.  Does this image look a little familiar?  The wildly popular Flowering Branches digital image has been reintroduced as a clear photo polymer stamp set with some pretty spectacular sentiments and darling little bloom-y bits to color up, fussy cut, mask and stamp, or whatever your little heart desires!  How about let's take a peek, shall we?

Wanna see what I made with this gorgeous new set?

Oh what fun is was to see this old friend!  I was so excited to see Marcella bring this image back as a stamp.  Don't get me wrong, digital images certainly have many wonderful qualities and the possibilities are endless....but there is just something about holding a stamp in your hand, getting it inky and just stamping your heart out, don't you think?  ;)

For this A2 sized card, I colored up my images with Copics and fussy cut part of the large image (yes, some of the buds and blooms had to be lopped off to work in the space....almost criminal, isn't it...lol)  and one of the smaller images in the set.  My goal was to highlight this gorgeously scripted Thoreau quote.  So much is being said in just a few words.  It deserves to be shown off and what better way than to frame it up with Marcella's beautiful blooms, am I right?

The card is made up of some simple layers (some die cut, some trimmed) with some stitching and dry embossing thrown in here and there.  The sentiment panel got a little gold leafing to frame it out and then I attached the fussy cut blooms with Collall.  I have mentioned this product before but it bears repeating....this stuff is great when you are adhering delicate, fussy cut images and want them popped up.  I will admit there is a little practice that needs to take place because it can get a little messy...the drying time takes a bit but that is good because it gives you a little time to apply it where you need it to really pop up even the tiniest of buds.  Love this stuff!  :)

So, that is all for my card today but you know there are some a-mazing creations compliments of my Bloomie sisters just waiting for you to see.  Make sure you leave a little blog love while you're there and then I'd love it if you could pop back in tomorrow for Day 2 of Power Poppy's August Release.....I can't wait to show you what Marcella has come up with next!  Until then, take care!  :)
