My next card is one I made using the new Flourishes Tulips for Friends stamp set. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this stamp set. Those tulips are gorgeous and it was so much fun to color them! The card is a very basic layout using a few stitched layers of dp from My Mind's Eye, some Midnight Muse card stock from Stampin' Up!, and Flourishes Classic White card stock. I used a Spellbinders square die for my image and a Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags die for the little tag. I finished it off with a bit of Very Vanilla ribbon from Stampin' Up!, and button and twine from Papertrey Ink. The edges of all panels were distressed with Papertrey Ink's Chamomile ink.
My last card for tonight is another one using the Tulips for Friends stamp set. I just couldn't help myself!! I used another Spellbinders die set, Timeless Rectangles, for this card. I have found that when I color with Copics, I tend to go towards the softer color tones and I really wanted these tulips to be more vibrant soooo....HELLO tulips! These definitely came out brighter and I really like them! It is outside of my norm but I am going to try to color more images this way! For the card I used some dp from a My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 paper pad and some rhinestones. I fussy cut this vase of tulips and I don't mind sayin' it was a bear to cut out....probably because I don't do a lot of fussy cutting....another thing to try more often! So, here is my final card:
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and hopefully I will be back soon with another card to share.
Katie
