Happy Power Poppy Friday~February 8th!

Hello there and welcome to my blog for a Power Poppy Friday post!  I hope all is well in your little corner of the world. :)  I have a petite card to share with you today using Power Poppy's Prairie Cheer stamp set.

I started by stamping my image and sentiment on to white card stock with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copics.  Next, I die cut my image and some patterned paper and stitched the two together.  After that, I added a little gold leafing with a Krylon 18 KT Gold Leafing pen and spritzed a little ink around using a spritzing tool and a Stampin' Up! marker.  Lastly, I adhered my image panel to a layered card base.  This card measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" .

I think that sweet little cone flower and pretty mixed font sentiment is just the thing to help someone feel better, don't you?  I love Marcella's amazing detail on this bloom....I mean, just look at those petals and the flower center.....WOW!  This little bloom is quick to color up and makes quite a floral statement.

So that is all for my card today, but some of my Bloomie sisters have some lovely cards to share with you today....please make sure you check them out and leave them a little blog love while you are there.  Also, make sure you check out the latest goings on over at the Power Poppy blog!  I sure hope you have a wonderful day and I thank you so much for your visit today.  I hope you can stop by again soon....until then, take care!  :)

  1. This is so darling, Katie! I love your unique layout with perfect stitching and that touch of gold leafing around the edge. Such an eye for perfect detail! Have I ever told you that I'm afraid of my gold leafing pen? Haha! (but really...I am) I wish you could come over & help break me of that fear. Love ya!

  2. Katie you make such the sweetest little cards. Love your image and how your die cut just nestled the flower up in the top. Your signature gold leafing pen is always nice to see on your cards as well as your stitching (so perfect). You have a great eye for detail. Hope all is well, enjoy the weekend!
