Power Poppy's October Release Blog Hop

Well hello there and welcome back for Power Poppy's Blog Hop!  I hope you have enjoyed all of the festivities this week....I know I sure have!  So today is the day where we recap all of the new stamp sets so you have one last look.  Have you got your list ready?  Well I hope so, because today is the day that all of this holiday goodness is available for purchase on the Power Poppy site!  Woo Hoo!

I decided to pull out the Frosted Gingerbread set one more time for a simple card.  Now, know that my aim was to try my hand at a clean and simple card....but, seriously, I do not think I possess the gene needed to do that style....lol.  So this is about as clean and simple as it gets for me....

When I saw those little cookies in the border stamp I thought that little tree was the cutest thing....and that sentiment with the mixed fonts, absolutely adorable!  I decided to incorporate both of these onto a little tag and that is where I started with my card.  I stamped my image, colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out.  Next, I used a die to cut my tag out of blue polka dot paper then layered it with some Kraft paper.  Next, I stamped my sentiment then attached that darling little cookie tree, then added some ribbon and string.  For the remainder of my card I simply added some square layers and then some heart layers to build the card up for my tag.  I added some sponging and stitching before attaching my tag and that pretty much completed my card.  I did add some Ranger Glossy Accents on the green frosting to make it really shiny.....

GAH....I love that sentiment!  I am soooo ready to make some Christmas cookies!  Here's one more view so you can see the layers...

So are you in the Christmas spirit?  I know I am!  Well, that is all for my card but you know that my wonderfully talented Bloom Brigade teamies have plenty of holiday goodness just waiting for you to come see!  I am so glad you could stop by today for the final day of Power Poppy's October release.  I hope we can get together again soon....I have some more ideas for these new sets so I'll be popping back in soon with some more projects...until then here's wishing you "Hope, Peace, and Cookies"!  Take care and don't forget the milk!  ;)
